that must comprise at least:

a- A1 format Panels

b- Models

c- Bound Booklet

d- CD-Rom

a-PANELS

at least n. 5 A1 panels (840 mm x 594 mm, horizontal) made up of graphic documents.

Thematic content of the panels will be explain how the project addresses the problems raised by the PostExpo theme:

- Panel 1 must present a synthesis of your project (concept schemes, maps and diagrams)

- Panels 2to5 must explain:

• the territorial, landscape and urban ideas developed in the project, in relation with the concerns of the town and the conceptual orientations of the proposal.
• the urban strategy, summarizing the problems tackled and the conceptual approach to the project.
• the detailed programme chosen and developed and its relationship to the framework and lifestyles proposed on the site.
• present the project as a whole, highlighting the architectural value of the project.

This is to be done through:

1. a general plan containing the surroundings (1:2000 scale)
2. a masterplan (1:1000 scale)
3. one or plus plot plans, or a piece, (1:500 scale) focalizing on the levels and public spaces
4. typical residential floor plans
5. sections (1:500 and 1:200)
6. a constructive detail section
7. three-dimensional visualizazions, photomontages and any representations of the project
8. few significant indications of the materials proposed (in the model, in the maquette, in the visualizazions, in the constructive detail section)

b-FINAL MODELS

Number and scale of the models are free, but we strong suggest the follow: 1to2000+sourrounding, 1to500 model of the housing or a 1to200 model of a piece of building. Please BE ACCURATE in the model making.

c-BOUND BOOKLET

The bound document must be in small format (A4orA5 format is suggested).

The document must explain and comprise all the work also including the model pictures

d-CDROOM

CDRom must includes all the work, the A1 panels, the bound document and every element (also at the early stage of the work) required for a comprehensive understanding of the project.

The CDrom must includes a single PDF (bind document), plus the single image on high format resolution (pdf or image files).

On July the 7th we hope that only few students (those without further alternatives) will take the exam on that day,

After the exam time will be dedicate to focused reviews (not project review, but maquette, details, etc).

On July the 26rd the exam will be a discussion with the presence of guests. ALL the projects (models, drawings, etc) have to be physically available on the 26rd, also for those who took the examination on the 7th (even via your colleagues).

TPS: for the exam all the groups have to take a CDroom (that must contain all the work) with project title and student names on the cover as well as Panels, Final and work Models and Bound Booklet.

 Ensuing the very interesting lecture by Professor Federico Bucci about the QT8 (Quartiere sperimentale VIII Triennale) and following our class discussion on the project development,  here a comparison between the original QT8 masterplan and the LeCorbusier’s plan for Chandigarh in terms of the relation landscape/architecture/pubblic space.

During the discussion was made mention of another very different example of Italy 1950′s masterplan: Villaggio La Martella in Matera made by roman architect Ludovico Quaroni; approach that follow the Neo-Realim movement of Italian Architecture .
